PROBLEM:
An error appear in Outlook stating "Outlook detected an add-in problem".
SOLUTION:
This article will go into detail on how you can change the Outlook Add-in to be always enabled, in the event of Outlook automatically disabling it. These steps must be performed on an Outlook version 2016 or newer.
When the error message stating 'Outlook detected an add-in problem' appears, you will want to make sure you click the 'Always enable this add-in' button as that is what generates the DoNotDisableAddInList folder within the Registry Editor. As long as it has been clicked at least once, the folder will have been created.
Next, run the Registry Editor by typing its name into the Windows search bar and selecting it from the list.
Once you have the register open, navigate to:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Resiliency\DoNotDisableAddinList
Under the DoNotDisableAddinList folder right click and select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value with a Value Name of CBAddIn and a Value Data of 1. Click OK and then close out of the Registry Editor to complete the process.
These steps will force Outlook to enable the Centerbase add-in every time the program launches and will prevent any further performance error messages from appearing.
