When bills are posted, available trust funds are automatically being applied system-wide. Certain matters need to have auto-apply turned off.
If available trust funds should be automatically applied for most matters system-wide, the Trust Account box should be checked in System Settings -> Billing -> General -> Posting Invoice -> Automatically Apply.
(If trust funds should rarely be automatically applied, then the Trust Account box can be unchecked.)
To turn off auto-apply on certain matters, but not all:
- Navigate to the Billing Settings on the Matter.
- Uncheck Use Default Settings.
- Uncheck Automatically Apply Trust.
