Description: When the user accesses the specific account from the chart of accounts getting an error that she/he is not authorized. The user can also get this error when trying to write checks from an account that they are not authorized to access.
To resolve add the user to the security record of the account.
- Go To Accounting > Chart of Accounts.
- Go to the account in question then click on the padlock icon.
- Under Advanced settings click on the dropdown to choose the user or group, then click on the green Plus sign to add.
- Adjust the permissions as needed on the access to give the user/group
- Apply.
Note: If the user/group is already listed, you may need to delete then re-add them to refresh.
