Like the Stripe integration, Users may connect their existing LawPay account to Centerbase for payment processing. Unlike Stripe, LawPay can handle deposits into two separate accounts. This allows flexibility for trust and operating account deposits. Additionally, you don't have to have both accounts selected for this to work.
Setting Up LawPay
If you are a System Admin, to enable LawPay within Centerbase first navigate to the System Settings and then to Payment Processor > LawPay.
From there you'll have the option to sign into your LawPay account.
Once you're signed in, you'll automatically be redirected back to Centerbase. Then, select whether you want to use one or both Accounts and then click Save in the bottom right corner.
LawPay Options
With the LawPay Integration, you have the option to use one or both accounts.
Operating Only
If you only choose to use an Operating Account, then all money will go into the Operating Account. However, this option can only be used to pay bills and can't be used for Trust replenishment.
Trust Only
If you choose to only use a Trust Account, then all money goes into Trust and bills get paid through payments from Trust. To move money to the Operating Account, you would then need to do a Trust Bank Transfer.
Both Accounts
If you choose to use both accounts, then anything used to pay bills will go into the Operating Account and Trust replenishments will go into Trust.
Other Options
Company Info is what text will show on the payment window once the client clicks 'Pay with card' from the bill and Company Logo is what logo will show.
The "Only make payments from trust" option allows for all money to go through Trust. However, an Operating Account will still have to specified.
