- Open the following link in Chrome: Magical
- Click Add to Chrome then Add Extension in the pop-up window.
- The Extension should download and add to your chrome instance and a new tab should open up to the settings.
- When adding a new shortcut to the list, make sure to add a space after the shortcut like below to ensure auto-expansion only happens when you want it to. You may also increase/decrease the amount of time required to trigger the text expansion. This may be helpful if you find it is not expanding every time you would expect it to.
- If you ever want to edit what shortcuts you have or the timeout length, you should have the auto text expander icon in the upper right-hand side of your chrome next to the search bar.

A great alternative is Espanso (espanso.org). It's open source and privacy oriented. An advantage to Espanso is that it will provide the same expansion tools throughout your Windows, Mac or Linux experience. It isn't as easy to setup, but it works flawlessly.
