This article explains how to rearrange and publish the Main Menu on your site. Additionally, we have included a few tips to have a more effective and design-friendly menu.
First, navigate to the Pages tab of your Site Builder.
To rearrange the menu, hover over the page you would like to move.
You should see a hand icon replace your cursor. With the hand cursor, click the page you would like to move and drag the page to where you would like to move it to.
Note: Be aware that when dragging pages you will have two options:
1) If you drag the page over a specific page title, the page you are moving will appear under that page in a drop down.
2) If you drag the page above or below a different page title, the page will appear next to the other page in the menu.
If you are moving pages that are already live on the site, do not forget to add a redirect (see the article about Redirects - coming soon).
Tips for an effective and design-friendly menu:
- To avoid having an overcrowded menu, create a Resources page with a drop down. You will move pages such as Testimonials, Blog, Case Results, etc. under the Resources page.
- Utilize the 'Parent Page' feature with your Practice Areas to have sub-pages to an overarching Practice Area. Ex. Auto Accidents as a sub-page to Personal Injury.
