Users can now refine the output and/or display of financial statements including defining the list of accounts, including or excluding currency symbols, ability to sort accounts in ascending or descending order by name or number.
By turning on the settings to include or exclude the currency symbol, users are overriding the configuration in System Settings (Centerbase > System Settings > Accounting > General) as seen below:
To make changes to select reports:
- Open up one of the core financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income statement, etc.). Navigate to the pencil next to the Report Filters box.
- Using the dialogue, choose whether to include or exclude currency symbols by clicking on the bubble; include or exclude accounts by clicking on the arrow next to the account name; choose to sort by account name or account number in ascending or descending order by selecting from the dropdown.
If certain accounts are chosen from the report, clicking Run will display a banner that says, “Warning: Some accounts have been filtered out and consequently Total Assets, Liabilities, and Equity may appear off.”
When done, changes can be saved as the Default style. Templates can also be created so that the changes can be selectively applied.
*Note: Currently, in order for account number sorting to work, the account number must be included as a prefix to the account name.
