Users may import and export Centerbase reports from one database to another in a few simple steps.
Opening Reports in System Settings
Open the System Settings by clicking the gear in the bottom left of the screen.
Exporting an Existing Report
Navigate to Report Manager > Reports.
Select a report from the drop-down list.
Once you've selected the report you want to export, click the Export button and save the XML file to your computer.
This report is now ready to be imported into another Centerbase database, with a few caveats:
- If the target system does not contain all of the same fields as the source, you will need to delete or reassign columns, groups, and soring criteria.
- The above also applies to tab location.
- Target system must also be at the same or later version is using custom report stored procs. This only applied to Custom and System reports.
- Currently, images do not transfer and may need to be updated on the target system.
Importing a Report
In your System Settings, navigate to Report Manager > Reports.
Select New Report, which will appear beside the Select a Report drop-down on the left-hand side.
Using the down arrow, select Import Report.
Select an XML export you have previously saved to your local computer and click Open.
The report will open in the report designer. From there, you may modify and save the report. Please note that the same caveats that apply to exporting reports (listed above) also apply to importing reports.
