If you are experiencing issues with your account following the new release, review the following list of tips and best practices:
1. Update Windows Administrative Tool to the latest version
To ensure compatibility with the latest version of Centerbase, we recommend installing the most up-to-date plug-ins.

2. Update Outlook add-in to the latest version
To ensure compatibility with the latest version of Centerbase, we recommend installing the most up-to-date plug-ins.
3. Windows Mapped Drive
The Centerbase mapped drive connection utilizes Transport Layer Security (TLS) certificates and security protocols directly from Microsoft to ensure we are completely up-to-date with all required security parameters.
Our mapped drive connection was using TLS 1.1, however, due to evolving regulatory requirements as well as new security vulnerabilities in TLS 1.0, Microsoft recommends that customers remove TLS 1.0/1.1 dependencies in their environments and disable TLS 1.0 and 1.1 at the operating system level where possible. We have followed these security guidelines and implemented the current version of 1.2 TLS into our mapped drive connection.
Windows 7 devices that have not had their TLS 1.0/1.1 connections updated to TLS 1.2 will be unable to connect to the mapped network drive until the change to TLS 1.2 has been made. The article below goes into greater detail and also includes the steps necessary to make the required registry changes on any Windows 7 machines through the registry. You will most likely need to speak to your local IT Administrator for assistance with this if it was not already completed in 2020.

4. Office 365
Similar to the Outlook calendar, an 'Organizer' field has been added to help facilitate how calendar Activities are scheduled. By incorporating the Organizer field within the Centerbase calendar, we have enhanced the relationship between O365 and Centerbase which will create a more streamlined calendar experience for users.
O365 Reminders:
- The ‘Organizer’ field was added to sync Centerbase calendar appointments with Outlook.
- The response status for each attendee is automatically sent from Outlook to Centerbase once a response is received. This status will be listed below the attendee name when viewing the Activity from the Centerbase calendar. The Activity will still display in a user’s Centerbase calendar prior to sending an accept or decline response. Decline will remove it for that user.
- If an invited user declines the invite, the activity will still exist in Centerbase if there are other attendees. It will not delete the activity for them.
- The creator of a new Activity will be assigned as the default Organizer, if connected to Outlook. For more information, reference the article on Office 365 Calendar Sync.
-
-
- If the creator is not synced with O365, then the creator will be prompted to add another user connected to Outlook as the Organizer, if they wish to sync the Activity.
-
-
- The Organizer must be connected to Office365 with their Outlook calendar synced.
-
- Activities require an Organizer in order to sync with Outlook.
- If users try to create or change an appointment for someone without the Outlook sync configured, an error message will appear.
-
- The Organizer cannot be changed if the Activity is linked to an Outlook event. That can be changed by unchecking ‘Push to Outlook’ on the Activity. A new Organizer can then be selected and re-synced if needed.
- Once the Activity is linked to Outlook, the Organizer button will no longer appear near the “Scheduled” list. The Organizer will be listed as a read-only field on the appointment form.
- Making changes to the Activity & Resending Invites
-
-
- When making changes to an Activity, Centerbase will notify the user that upon saving, invites will be resent to scheduled Outlook users (similar to how Outlook operates upon changing an appointment).
- Existing Activities that were created before the Organizer field was added will now require an Organizer upon making changes to the Activity.
- Invites will be resent to scheduled Outlook users when any change is made to the Activity (*Only Centerbase users will get an invite, not third-party attendees) :
-
-
-
- An Organizer is added
- A change is made to the Activity (i.e. subject, notes, description, location, etc.)
- A change is made to the list of scheduled attendees (adding or removing a user)
