Release Notes – 10.8
Hello, Centerbase Family!
See below for the details on release 10.8, which is expected to release in production late the week of April 7. However, that date is subject to change as we finalize testing. You will see a Pendo pop-up once the release is published. Please pay particular note to these first three items.
Categories: Specific Transaction Types & Account Registers
We are adding Category functionality throughout the system. This update includes assigning a category to a trust or retainer deposit from within the matter and enhancements to view matter and category information on account registers and filter by category. Future updates will include assigning categories at the Client or Matter level and adding them to as many transaction types as possible.
Print Journal Entries
Users can now print selected Journal Entries from the Journal Entries list or open and print individual Journal Entries. This works for both the standard and detail views.
Permitted Payment Tendering and ACH Flat Rate Convenience Fees for Centerbase Payments Customers
- Permitted Tendering allows firms to select which payment methods they’d like to accept at the Matter, Client, and System level.
- ACH Flat Rate allows firms to set ACH fees at the Matter, Client, and System level.
Automatic Time Capture
- Addressed an issue where special characters in secure chat messages were not displaying properly in the mobile app.
Accounting
- Fixed an issue to the Account Register when accounts for allocations were changed.
- Fixed a bug causing Trust Bank Transfers directly to accounts to still display as "Pending Trust Bank Transfer" over on the Account Register.
Banking
- Tied the Print Checks screen to the record security of bank accounts, allowing firms to restrict access to users who can view printable checks.
Billing
- Added a setting allowing firms to choose when to auto-apply trust or retainer (Issue Date or Posted Date).
- Added functionality to download PDF receipts attached to consolidated bills.
- Fixed a bug where ePre-Bill approval was not filtering correctly when the Client filter was used.
- Fixed a bug allowing users to move billing entries to or from paid pre-bills despite an error message stating they could not.
- Added a setting allowing firms to choose when to auto-apply trust or retainer (Issue Date or Posted Date).
- Added additional Web Copy options - this allows the firm's client to a) see the web copy in real time (all transactions, even if not posted to the bill); b) see the legacy view which shows only payments made to that specific bill; or c) see the new static web copy, which presents the web copy as it was at the point of posting.
- Fixed a bug causing matters with held entries to generate two bills upon creation.
- Fixed a bug causing incorrect tax calculations when some line items were taxable and a discount was applied.
- Fixed a bug that miscalculated Allocations when a bill had tax, a discount, and interest, and was partially paid.
- Fixed an issue causing a warning that the line count exceeded 500 entries, which turned off Markups, even when the line count did not exceed 500 entries.
- Fixed an issue with Advanced Check printing where the Account Name was printed instead of the Financial Institution, and a box was printed around the check.
- Refactored the saving of Tax Items so users can see the updated tax rate immediately upon changing.
