Hello Centerbase Family!
Winter is here, and the holidays are right around the corner. Before you settle down with
family and friends for some eggnog, take a look at the updates we have for you. Our
most exciting update, at least your accounting team, is printable 1099s! We also have a
host of enhancements and bug fixes to improve your experience.

New Feature: Printing 1099s
We have added 1099 printing to Centerbase Accounting! This functionality can be found
in the vendor center and includes the following:
- UI updates to the Vendor Center so that you can quickly see which vendors are
1099 vendors, and how much you have paid them in the current or prior year. - Reporting updates to add payment thresholds to the 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC
Reports and updated calculations to ensure that refunded amounts decrease the
total paid to a vendor. - The ability to print 1099 forms both to pre-printed forms and to blank and/or pre-printed paper.
- The ability to print to the pre-printed 1096 reporting form for both 1099-NEC and
1099-MISC.
Accounting
- Updated the way records are deleted from the Account Register to help prevent
deadlock errors.
Accounts Payable
- Fixed an issue where Vendors were not staying linked to check records if they
were reconciled and then duplicated.
Banking
- Updated our Online Banking integration with Plaid to work more seamlessly with
institutions that use 0Auth for 2FA. - Fixed an issue on checks where the payee was not showing on Style 2 checks for
Trust Bank Transfers when free text was entered into the “Pay To” field on the
check. - Fixed an issue where reversed trust payments were still showing up in the Trust
Bank Transfer window.
Billing
- Added “Client Bill To” field for Client Statement of Account.
- Fixed a bug where overpayment allocations were not being deleted once the
payment was used, causing an out of balance issue. - Added functionality to sync child bills on Consolidated Bills to QuickBooks
Online. - Added a LEDES 1998B template that allows timekeepers to bill for their time and
get credited for it while showing only the flat fee amount to the Client. - Fixed a bug that was causing reversed/voided trust transactions to not be
accounted for in AR Sweep. - Fixed a bug that was causing an error when attempting to allocate a credit to an
invoice with interest applied. - Fixed an issue where the pay now button on the web copy of bills would continue
to ask for trust replenishment when it had already been paid. - Fixed an issue that could cause pre-bills to show the incorrect status.
Calendar
- Fixed an issue that could cause a repeating loop of appointment created emails
to be sent. - Fixed various issues with syncing calendar information across between
Centerbase and Microsoft Outlook.
Reporting
- Fixed a bug where Trust Reports were not loading the “Accounts” list unless they
were run twice. - Added “Bill Posted Date” field to the Bill object type, so that it can be reportable.
- Fixed an issue where P&L Report Filters were not saving correctly.
- Fixed an issue with the General Ledger report filters that was causing duplication
of and inability to delete filters. - Fixed a calculation in the AR report for "Group by invoice".
Timekeeping
- Fixed an issue that could cause "Save & Duplicate" to spin forever.
- Fixed an issue that could cause the primary billing code to be set to the default
hard cost code. - Fixed an issue where "null" was showing in the matter name on new time entries.
General
- Fixed an issue that was slowing down user creation.
