Hello Centerbase Family!
It’s the season of thanks, and here at Centerbase we’re thankful for you! Amidst the turkey and stuffing, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie, we want to add to the spread with a whole bunch of feature enhancements and bug fixes in the form of Release 9.7. This release is especially full of treats for our Billing & Accounting users, but there are some other items of note as well. So before you lay down for a tryptophan-fueled post-Thanksgiving nap, take a look at what we’ve included and let us know what you think!
Billing & Accounting
- Void checks is here! Our check voiding functionality has been enhanced to include the following:
- User is able to choose the date of the void;
- voiding a check creates a negative counter-balancing check as of the date selected for the void; and
- any unbilled transactions associated with the check will also be voided with a negative counter-balancing transaction.
- When documents such as receipts need to be sent with the client's bill, the client will now see those expenses on the Web Copy of their bill. Note: This currently supports PDF only.
- When a user elects to include PDF receipts with a client's bill, they will now download along with the PDF of the bill.
- Users who must upload PDF receipts when eBilling will now have the attached receipts downloaded along with the LEDES file.
- Users can now attach documents to vendor bill and check line items and assign them to attach to the bill they are associated with.
- Allows the user to control the disbursement of funds from Centerbase Payments to their bank account from the Centerbase application.
- Fixed an issue where users could not take action by right-clicking on a posted bill in the Posted Bills page.
- Disabled the post button on the posting dialog while it is loading to prevent an issue where 'posting status' would not update if the post button was pressed before the dialog fully loaded.
Calendar
- Users can now utilize the check for schedule conflicts against groups and recurring appointments. For recurring appointments, an individual or group will reflect in green they are available for all recurrences, yellow if they are available for some recurrences, and red if they are available for no recurrences. Recurrences are checked for conflicts up to 120 days into the future.
- Addressed an issue where appointments scheduled past 7pm CT were not showing in the day view.
Document Management
- iManage workspaces can be automatically created when auto-numbering is turned on.
- Changes to fields other than Custom 1 and Custom 2 will automatically update if the data is updated after the fact.
Matters
- Users can now view Matter Metrics budgets for periods longer than 5 years.
- Fixed a bug where Matter Number was not populating on a new matter when "Global Incremental" setting is used.
Reporting
- Information related to originators can now be reported on in the Advanced Reporting tool.
- Advanced Reporting brings in real-time data which can cause components of the software to freeze preventing other users from entering records. This is now remediated.
- Added columns to break out billable and non-billable hours that were billed, and fixed the column alignment.
Performance
- We have also recently upgraded to our internal application routing that will improve application performance around navigating in the app and key areas of the application such as Billing.
