Hello Centerbase Family!

The hot, hot summer continues.  In our off time, we’ve all been trying to stay cool, whether by watching Oppenheimer in a heavily air-conditioned movie theater or by acting out Barbie poolside or at the beach.  These distractions haven’t stopped us from working hard to delivery a lovable product to you, and you’ll see some of the results in Centerbase 9.4.  This release is heavy with bug fixes, but there’s some feature work we think you’ll like in here, too.  Take a look and let us know what you think!

Billing & Accounting

• Users are now able to print to "middle print" check stock when using the “Voucher” type check.
• Added a setting to turn the ability to enforce unique journal entry reference numbers on or off. The default is “off”. The setting is found in System Settings > Advanced Configuration > Enforce Uniqueness.
• Added a new button to ePrebill approval that allows any user to remove an entry from the bill without having to put that entry on hold.
• Updated the unbilled entries tab of ePrebill approval to show all unbilled time entries and not just unapproved time entries.
• Fixed an issue where there was a rounding error on vendor bills which made it so they could not be paid.
• Fixed an issue that could cause a time out when creating vendor bills.
• Fixed an issue where the line item would not fully update when returning to the line items tab of ePrebill approval after editing a billing entry in dialog. 
• Fixed an issue where selecting a client in pre-bill approval would filter by that client but still display "All Clients".
• Fixed an issue where a user could be required to save edits on a billing entry twice while editing from a bill.
• Made an update so when editing a billing entry from the billing entry dialog while on the line items tab, only that line item will be updated; this will speed up editing.
• Resolved a bug whereby unchecking 'taxable' in the billing code had no affect on the expense. Now, unchecking 'taxable' will remove that value from the tax calculation.
• Fixed an issue where check line item descriptions were being cut off on the voucher instead of wrapping.
• Fixed an issue where trust activity was not showing up on posted bills when using Real Time Web Copy.
• Fixed an issue where web copies of Consolidated Bills were displaying a message to click for a more recent bill.
• Fixed an issue where Accounts were duplicating on the GL Report when downloaded to Excel.

Client Portal

• All users attached to a matter will now receive a notification when a document is uploaded via the Client Portal.

Email

• Fixed a bug that could falsely flag an email as a duplicate causing it to not be uploaded into Centerbase from the Outlook add-in.
• Resolved an issue where leaving a space between multiple emails when sending an email caused an error.

Global Search

• Addressed a minor issue that occasionally caused filter items with special characters to produce inconsistent or unexpected search results or delayed producing the output. With this fix, the search function now operates reliably and consistently.

Performance

• Fixed an issue that could cause live updated data to stop updating when left open for long periods of time.
• Improved the performance of the reporting tool to reduce the time it takes to display outputs, especially for large datasets and complex queries, and reduced duplicates.

Timekeeping

• Fixed a UI issue where the hold entries and merge entries buttons could duplicate.
• Fixed an issue where double-clicking the merge button on the merge entries dialog could create multiple copies of the merged entry.
• Fixed several cases where the prompt to save an entry on the timesheet would either prompt at the wrong time or fail to prompt.

Security

• Fixed a bug where user profiles where not updating the user/admin status.

Settings

• Fixed an issue where you would have to save some settings pages multiple times in order for them to stick.
